Rise of the Footsoldier marked William’s third feature film collaboration with his older brother Julian, As well as co-editing the film, he also directed the second unit shoot and co-wrote the script.

Previously William had co-edited Rollin’ with the Nines as well as co-writing the script with Julian and had been the second unit director for Reckoning Day.
